چکیده

We propose a solution to the problem of achieving consensus of the state of multiple systems connected over a network (over a directed graph) in which communication events are triggered stochastically. Our solution consists of a protocol design that, using intermittent information obtained over the network, asymptotically drive the values of their states to agreement, with stability, globally and with robustness to perturbations. More precisely, we propose a protocol with hybrid dynamics, namely, an algorithm with variables that jump at the communication events and evolve continuously in between such events. We design the protocols by recasting the consensus problem as a set stabilization problem and applying Lyapunov stability tools for hybrid systems. We provide sufficient conditions for exponential stability of the consensus set. Furthermore, we show that under additional conditions this set is also partially pointwise globally exponentially stable. Robustness of consensus to certain classes of perturbations is also established. Numerical examples confirm the main results.

Third-order Decentralized Safe Consensus Protocol for Inter-connected Heterogeneous Vehicular Platoons

In this paper, the stability analysis and control design of heterogeneous traffic flow is considered. It is assumed that the traffic flow consists of infinite number of cooperative non-identical vehicular platoons. Two different networks are investigated in stability analysis of heterogeneous traffic flow: 1) inter-platoon network which deals with the communication topology of lead vehicles and...

A new virtual leader-following consensus protocol to internal and string stability analysis of longitudinal platoon of vehicles with generic network topology under communication and parasitic delays

In this paper, a new virtual leader following consensus protocol is introduced to perform the internal and string stability analysis of longitudinal platoon of vehicles under generic network topology. In all previous studies on multi-agent systems with generic network topology, the control parameters are strictly dependent on eigenvalues of network matrices (adjacency or Laplacian). Since some ...

Distributed consensus of multi-agent systems with general linear node dynamics and intermittent communications

Without assuming that the mobile agents can communicate with their neighbors all the time, the consensus problem of multi-agent systems with general linear node dynamics and a fixed directed topology is investigated. To achieve consensus, a new class of distributed protocols designed based only on the intermittent relative information are presented. By using tools from matrix analysis and switc...

An EM Algorithm for Estimating the Parameters of the Generalized Exponential Distribution under Unified Hybrid Censored Data

The unified hybrid censoring is a mixture of generalized Type-I and Type-II hybrid censoring schemes. This article presents the statistical inferences on Generalized Exponential Distribution parameters when the data are obtained from the unified hybrid censoring scheme. It is observed that the maximum likelihood estimators can not be derived in closed form. The EM algorithm for computing the ma...
